He is a highly motivated and results-oriented Process Safety Engineer with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in the petrochemical industry, specializing in identifying process hazards, evaluating risks, and developing effective mitigation solutions. Throughout his career, Mr. Aly has successfully led and contributed to numerous high-profile projects across the Middle East, demonstrating exceptional technical expertise and leadership capabilities in complex industrial environments. Mr. Aly is a PMP certified, Exida-certified CFSP, TÜV-certified HAZOP Leader, and Exida-certified LOPA Facilitator. He is proficient in PHAPro software with advanced capabilities including generating custom worksheets. He has proven expertise in implementing and managing Process Safety Management (PSM) programs aligned with international standards such as IEC 61511, CCPS RBPS, CCPS guidelines for auditing PSM, and API RP 754, as well as applicable local regulations.
Mr. Aly is skilled in leading diverse Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) including HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID, and What-If studies, and has experience in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) lifecycle management in accordance with IEC 61511. Mr. Aly is proficient in managing Management of Change (MOC) processes, conducting Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations. He has a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, develop comprehensive safety documentation (procedures, plans, philosophies), conduct audits, and mentor junior engineers.
